How to Be Free of Bullies

Chapter One – Why bullying is simple to spot

Spot the bullies…before they spot you!

By way of anecdotes of incidents from my own life and theories about what I think these show about the relationship between the bully and bullied, I aim to reveal ways in which you can avoid being bullied. It may be surprising that people who get bullied also display bullying behaviour. It may be against someone else, a pet or even yourself. It could be said that any damage we impose on ourselves, drinking, smoking, drugs etc is some form of bullying ourselves.

Pushing stuff

It is important to look into incidents that have happened to you in a similar way to which I am reflecting on ones that have happened to me. No more pushing stuff under the carpet, hoping it will go away. What’s the point of that? All experiences in life, good or bad, reveal something and can be used to change an approach to a similar situation that occurs in the future. They say madness is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. How many of us do that? Well, we all do, but we don’t have to.

Nature

I will outline some ideas of how to do the things I am suggesting to give you the means to not be bullied. Bullying is part of nature. It may be called something else by some scientist somewhere and it probably had a survival use at some point in time.

There are many behaviours which are redundant now, which I believe hold us back, but we still use them and sometimes rotate our lives around them and live by them. I won’t name the culprits here. You will know the ones I’m talking about.

That is why I don’t agree with all the efforts made, and often funded, to clamp down on the bullies. This doesn’t work. The bullies are pretty likely to be being bullied themselves. So teach them how to not be bullied and, lo and behold, bullying would decrease.

We Must Keep Our Wits About Us

I watched #Brexit – An Uncivil War on Netflix last night and thought: how easy society is to manipulate. How can we feel ourselves being boiled like frogs? How did Michael Gove, Dominic Cummings end up in parliament and Nigel Farage become an MEP. The reasonable thinking that existed up til 2016, fought for by […]

Understanding Adults with Dyspraxia in Education and at Work

This morning I had a conversation with a tutor that left me feeling somewhat alienated and disorientated. Conveying how I work to plan my progress to someone who doesn’t think as I do takes a huge amount of energy and feels unrewarding and unproductive.   Today, a Google search for anything about strategies for work […]

Please do my survey for my natural health, self care tool idea

I am creating a handy tool to package and deliver information about what foods deliver what vitamins, minerals and micronutrients to promote the healthy staple diet for optimal health. Please could spare 5 minutes to answer these questions. They are multiple choice or yes/no. If you don’t want to answer all the questions, that is […]

Protests and Boycots can Prompt Tax Dodgers

Despite the impending recession, Westminster has not taken the move to devise rules to ensure this doesn’t drive the spread. Wales and Scotland have now both denied bailouts to companies using tax havens, while England is continue to enable powerful corporations to divert profits from state coffers despite the impending recession. This Independent article from […]

How and Why We Must Learn Not to Spread Viruses

If the world now learned how to stop the spread of the common cold not just accept it and pass it round, we could beat COVID-19. The “common” cold is not so common anymore. More rhinoviruses and coronaviruses have entered the system unchecked and are getting increasingly virulent and harder to contain. Before the COVID-19 […]
